Forces.
If an object experiences a push or a pull, it is said to be acted upon by a force. Force is measured in newtons (N). For example, in the diagram below, there are four forces acting on an object. The force Fis acting horizontally to the right, the force Fis acting horizontally to the left, the force R is acting vertically upwards and the force W is acting vertically downwards.
