    Proficiency Masterclass is a C2-level course aimed at preparing students for the Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) examination (2013). In addition to offering students extensive guidance and exam training, it also contains interesting, lively and challenging materials for the classroom.




Language & culture.
For homework, give each student three adjectives from exercise 4 and ask them to add the appropriate prefixes. Ask them to select one of their words to focus on without letting the other students know which one. They then type their word into the BNC (see Teaching note above) and select four or five sentences that show good use of their word. The selected sentences should be easily understandable for the level of everyone in the class. Students then cut and paste their selected sentences, deleting the given word, and bring their sentences to class and ask the other students to guess the missing words. It may be helpful to demonstrate with an example of your own.
