From the dress and reaction of the man, perhaps this is something to do with a marriage ceremony (he is seeing his bride dressed up and looks shocked). The country could be in Southern or Eastern Europe, or North Africa or the Near East.

A bandage: You can wrap it round your knee to provide support when you’re jogging. You could use it to hold dressings in place if you have a serious cut or wound.
A bucket: You could use it to carry water in. You can use it to hold soapy water if you want to mop the floor.

The photo shows a group of people learning how to construct a sort of tent – a tipi, in fact. It must have been taken somewhere in the Americas, probably North America, where Native American peoples once commonly used this form of housing. As well as learning how to build a tipi, they are also learning how to work as a team and co-operate. They may also be learning about aspects of the history and culture of the peoples who first built tipis of this kind.
